  Miniature Yomud Asmaluk camel trapping, 19th century. This pentagonal hanging was used to decorate the flanks of a camel during wedding processions. The stepped diamonds, with their striking white omas, are typical of these pieces--but the abbreviated trees across the bottom are more unusual. Fine, lustrous wool, rich glowing colors, fine weave, excellent condition -- 1'-5" x 2'-7".  
 
Yomud carpet, West Turkistan, late 19th century; staggered rows of spaciously drawn red, navy blue, ivory, and blue-green depse guls on a rust rose field within an ivory, curled-leaf main border with Ashik gul elems -- 5'-1" x 8'-1".
